GFNY Indonesia-Samosir (Asia Champs)

After two years in Lombok, the 2018 GFNY Indonesia heads to Samosir and the incredible Lake Toba. It will be the host of the GFNY Championship Asia. Registration for the 2 September 2018 race is open now.
Lake Toba is an immense volcanic lake covering an area of 1,707 km2 with the island SAMOSIR in the center. Formed by a gigantic volcanic eruption some 70,000 years ago, it is probably the largest resurgent caldera on Earth.
The stunning 152km long route circumnavigates Samosir Island utilizing smooth, newly constructed roads. Sitting at 1000m above sea level, this course offers an exotic Indonesian experience, but with cooler temperatures. There is also an 80km medium route option.

The transfer is by bus and the bicycles are transported by truck.

GFNY Indonesia-Samosir will be the host of the GFNY Championship Asia. Hence, the top 20% of riders in all age groups qualify for a front corral start at the Campagnolo GFNY World Championship in NYC on May 19, 2019.
