East Coast riders come together on Maryland’s Eastern Shore for a fast season finale

New York City, October 1, 2026 – Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland returns this Sunday, bringing riders from across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic together for 93 miles (149 km) of racing on one of the flattest courses on the GFNY calendar.

The 93 mile course is designed for speed and endurance: flat and fast, with coastal winds adding an additional challenge. The course rewards strong teamwork and steady pacing as riders make their way through Dorchester County, surrounded by unspoiled landscapes and scenic views of the Chesapeake Bay coastline.

“Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland brings together riders from across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic for one final big race of the season,” says GFNY President Lidia Fluhme. “We’re grateful for the support of the Maryland Sports Commission and the Michael Erin Busch Sports Fund, which helps us bring riders to Maryland from across the region and beyond. With a fast 93-mile course and an October date, Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland has all the ingredients to become a true East Coast season finale.”

Race weekend festivities will once again take place at Race & Cedar, where riders and spectators will enjoy a weekend of cycling and community. Highlights include the popular Group Rides on Friday and Saturday, giving participants the chance to warm up, meet fellow cyclists and prepare for race day. On Friday evening, riders can also gather for the Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland Happy Hour from 5pm to 7pm.
