Group Rides

Many GFNY races around the world offer group rides as a way to prepare for the race. Some group rides are open to any rider, whether registered for a GFNY race or not, and some group rides are only open to riders who are registered for a specific race.

GFNY group rides are social rides, not races. The main goal is to get out and on the bike together.

Where do I find more info

You can check a list of all group rides that have an open registration by going to your GFNY.cc account and click on Register tab and toggle over to Group Rides. Some races create FB events and collect registrations for the group rides when riders click on “Going” for that event.

Join the GFNY FB group, subscribe to the email newsletter or visit the race’s FB/IG page to get notified when the race is holding group rides. You can also email your race or message them on FB/IG if you have specific Group Ride questions.

Payment

While some group rides are a free benefit of riding together to train for the race, or to preview parts of the course before raceday, other group rides are supported rides and do have a fee to join. Please check the specific group ride ticket.

Attire

Get ready for raceday by representing your GFNY jersey collection! You’re a returning GFNY rider then don your past GFNY jersey to the pre-race group ride.

General guidelines for GFNY group rides
