Colombians sweep Michelob ULTRA GFNY Maryland Cambridge
María Latriglia and Johan Gómez take the wins

New York City, October 7, 2026 – The fourth edition of Michelob Ultra GFNY Cambridge-Maryland delivered exciting racing this past Sunday, as riders battled rain and wind on the exceptionally flat and fast 92.4-mile (148.7 km) course on Maryland’s scenic Eastern Shore. The course features just 13 feet of total elevation gain.
Right from the start, a five-rider breakaway formed, featuring strong contenders including 2024 GFNY Maryland champion Edwin Morel (USA), Wellington Dariel (USA), Pablo Paredes (Colombia), Johan Gómez (Colombia), and Alberto Ramos (Dominican Republic).
The group worked together at the front, while a chase group tried to close the gap. A series of attacks followed, and Ramos was eventually dropped during the second loop, leaving four riders at the front. The leaders continued to increase their advantage, stretching the gap to the chase group from two minutes to nearly six minutes, while a peloton of approximately 50 riders remained further behind.
The race ultimately came down to a four-man sprint for the win. Gómez proved strongest in the final meters, taking victory in 3:26:02, ahead of Morel and Dariel, who completed the podium.
In the women’s race, María Latriglia (Colombia) took the win in 3:33:13, with Paula Carrasco finishing close behind. Both riders raced within the main peloton and crossed the finish line among a group of approximately 40 riders. Olivia Liskowitz completed the podium, finishing 90 seconds later.
Next up on the GFNY calendar is Michelob Ultra GFNY Pérez Zeledón which will take place on October 11, 2026.
