The Course

GFNY San Luis Potosí has put together the perfect race course for the GFNY North American Championship. This course offers a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.

The race begins in the historic center of San Luis Potosí, navigating through the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Catedral Metropolitana, the Municipal Palace, and Parque Morales. It provides participants with a unique blend of cultural heritage and fast speeds within the initial kilometers.

The defining moment starts just outside the city boundary before Pozuelos, where you will begin a 13km climb, with an average grade of 3% and a max grade of 7.9%. This climb will test your endurance and strategy, offering minimal relief, yet maximum satisfaction upon completion. Once at the top, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of San Luis Potosí and the Sierra de San Miguelito, serving as a rare interaction between nature’s tranquility and city energy.

After the climb, the course transitions into a smooth downhill section on wide roads with Sierra views. As you return to the city, get ready for cheering crowds as you make your way to the finish line. You will pass Tangamanga Park and landmarks like the Glorieta Benito Juarez, before the final stretch towards the city center.

Medium route riders will cross their finish line here, while long route racers will prepare for a second lap to claim victory and finish the GFNY North American Championship in San Luis Potosí. This course is designed not only as a physical and tactical battleground but also as a showcase of resilience and strategy.
