GFNY relaunches GFNY Punta Cana for 2026 season

GFNY Punta Cana returns on September 13, 2026

New York City, March 6, 2026 – GFNY is proud to announce the return of GFNY Punta Cana, scheduled for September 13, 2026. The Caribbean race returns to the GFNY calendar with renewed organization, bringing the full GFNY race experience back to one of the most spectacular destinations in the Americas.

The competitive long distance race will cover 144.6 km with 647 m of climbing, while the recreational medium distance will be 95.9 km.

Punta Cana is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean and has been a perfect setting for a GFNY race since 2019,” said GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “With its rolling terrain and coastal scenery, the course offers a true race experience while giving riders and their families a spectacular place to spend a race week.”

The race will start and finish at Caribbean Lake Park, where riders will tackle rolling hills and enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, completing a spectacular ride through one of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Punta Cana is renowned for its 32 km of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. Together with Bávaro, it forms what is known as La Costa del Coco, an area famous for its luxurious all-inclusive resorts and wide range of outdoor activities including cycling, zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking and sailing.  Punta Cana is also considered one of the safest vacation destinations in the Caribbean, allowing visitors to confidently explore the region and enjoy sports beyond the resort areas.

With its mix of competitive racing, stunning scenery and Caribbean hospitality, GFNY Punta Cana 2026 promises to be one of the highlights of the GFNY global calendar.
