The Course

Our course begins in Downtown Punta Cana, in the heart of one of the Caribbean’s most important tourist areas.

The first kilometers of the course take place on a wide multi-lane road, where cyclists can quickly find a fast rhythm from the start. This opening section allows the peloton to organize while riding on a comfortable and safe roadway, ideal for building speed and finding position within the group.

As we head north, the route begins to reveal the character that defines this course. The landscape gradually changes to a more rural and green setting, where tropical vegetation and small towns of the eastern Dominican Republic accompany cyclists for much of the ride.

During this segment, short hills and constant rolling terrain appear, breaking up the peloton’s rhythm and testing riders’ ability to maintain speed. These are not long climbs, but punchy rises that require attention and good effort management.

At several points along the route, cyclists will enjoy open views toward the Caribbean coast, with sections where the blue of the ocean appears in the distance as the road winds through the areas of Uvero Alto, Las Lagunas de Nisibón, and nearby communities.

As the route approaches El Cedro, the terrain profile becomes slightly more demanding, with some of the most pronounced rolling sections of the course. This point marks the far end of the route and is where cyclists will need to have managed their energy well in order to face the remainder of the challenge.

Throughout the entire route, participants will experience a course that combines speed, coastal winds, strategic rollers, and spectacular scenery, creating an authentic Caribbean road cycling experience.

When you finally complete the course, you will not only have conquered a challenging route between Punta Cana and El Cedro, but you will also have experienced what it feels like to ride like a true professional in one of the most impressive tourist destinations in the world.
