Flynn and Pallone win 6th GFNY Florida Sebring

Rough winds added to the challenge of Florida’s hardest road race

New York City, October 29, 2025 – The sixth edition of the Michelob Ultra GFNY Florida–Sebring took place last Sunday over the 95-mile long course.

Right from the start, a large peloton of about sixty riders formed, pushing the pace across Hardee County’s open roads and battling strong winds. Among the front contenders were GFNY Maryland 2024 champion Edwin Morel (USA), GFNY Bogotá champion Diego Vasquez (Colombia), and multi-time GFNY champion Luis Lemus (Mexico).

After several attacks throughout the race and breakaway attempts, the decisive move came from Italian Ramon Pallone, who attacked solo with roughly 20 miles to go. The peloton underestimated his level, expecting to reel him back in, but Pallone held strong all the way to the line, claiming victory in 4:00:56.  He was followed by Morel and Vasquez, who led the chase group to the finish in a tight sprint for the remaining podium spots.

In the women’s race, Yuliya Flynn (Team NCVC) stayed with the front peloton and claimed the back-to-back win in 4:02:41, just three weeks after winning GFNY Maryland. Second place went to Mariana Meneses (Brazil), while Amelia Uribe (Dominican Republic) closed out the podium.

Next up on the GFNY calendar is GFNY Colonia Uruguay which will take place on November 2, 2025.

Cycling – Pro Racing

At Gran Premio New York City, professional teams race the same course as riders at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC – but with a 10-minute head start. The third edition will be held on May 17, 2026.

Adding a women’s pro race would elevate the event further. The proposed format would have women starting 45 minutes ahead of the men’s pro race, giving them their own stage. However, the extended road closures required for this addition increase costs by $100,000.

For those interested in supporting women’s racing, GFNY is inviting companies and organizations to help sponsor this important addition. Contact GFNY to discuss partnership opportunities.
