4th GFNY Puerto Rico won by defending champions

Christopher Morales and Erialis Otero secure dominant victories

New York City, November 26, 2025 – Ponce hosted the fourth edition of GFNY Puerto Rico this past Sunday, where riders took on a brand-new, dominantly flat 115.3 km course featuring just 556 meters of climbing.

Under ideal weather conditions, local riders Bryan León and Alexander Cintrón launched a decisive attack at kilometer 33, breaking away from the peloton. They were reeled in at kilometer 50 by defending champion Christopher Morales, who then worked with the duo to establish a strong lead—until Cintrón eventually lost contact.

By kilometer 65, the chase group—featuring GFNY Florida Sebring 2025 champion Ramon Pallone (Italy), GFNY República Dominicana 2025 champion Elvys Noel (Puerto Rico), Carlos Duque (Colombia) and locals Kevin Torres and Víctor Cartagena —caught up. But Morales launched a powerful attack from kilometer 108 to the finish, securing the victory in 2:50:41. Pallone finished second, and Duque completed the podium in third.

In the women’s race, four-time GFNY champion Erialis Otero (Puerto Rico) delivered another commanding performance, taking the win in 2:56:08 ahead of Ana Mejía (USA), with Shari Krepps (Puerto Rico) finishing third.

Next up on the GFNY calendar is the inaugural edition of GFNY San Luis Potosi which will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 which will also serve as the GFNY North American Championship.
