Bali opened the 2025 GFNY season
Mitchell and Brittain win the 2025 GFNY Asian Championship
New York City, February 19, 2025 – The 6th edition of GFNY Bali took place on “The Island of the Gods” last Sunday. The racecourse covered 137.4 km with 2,230 meters of climbing.
Under ideal weather conditions, the race started from Jembatan Merah and by km 15, three distinct groups had formed. A lead group of 11 riders emerged, and it was during the Kintamani climb that Will Mitchell of Team Matador – Singapore made a decisive break. He reached speeds of up to 92 km/h on the descents and claimed the solo victory in a time of 3:47:31, finishing eight minutes ahead of Dutch ex-pro and journalist Thijs Zonneveld (BEAT Cycling Club). Levi Wilming (also Netherlands), third already at GFNY Sweden-Uppsala, secured third place again to complete the podium.
In the women’s race, defending 2023 GFNY champion Alicia Brittain (South Africa) secured the solo win with a time of 4:47:03, finishing 21 minutes ahead of Lucy Richardson (United Kingdom). Irina Emelianova (Indonesia) rounded out the women’s podium in third place.
The 7th edition of this iconic race will take place on June 21, 2026. Entries are now available, and riders should secure their spots for this once-in-a-lifetime race on the paradise island.
Next on the GFNY calendar is a Super Sunday with 2 races scheduled for March 16, featuring the 7th edition of GFNY Punta del Este in Uruguay and the 5th edition of GFNY República Dominicana.

The 13th annual Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York will be held on May 18, 2025. The race features the world’s most international peloton with riders from over 90 countries. It is so international that it’s often described as the United Nations of cycling. Athletes take on a challenging route to compete against each other, the clock, and themselves in a personal endurance challenge.

Cycling – Pro Racing
At Gran Premio New York City, professional teams race the same course as riders at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC – but with a 10-minute head start. The second edition will be held on May 18, 2025 and aims to be at 1.1 level with World Tour teams racing.
