GFNY Super Sunday in LatAM
GFNY Zapopan and GFNY Bento Gonçalves return for their 3rd editions this weekend
GFNY Zapopan (Mexico)
The 3rd edition of GFNY Zapopan features a fast and dynamic 125.7 km course with an elevation gain of 890 meters. The race will start and finish at Parque de Las Niñas y de Los Niños, right in the heart of Zapopan. Known for its mostly flat terrain with only a few surrounding hills, this course is built for speed.
“Guadalajara-Zapopan is truly a city GFNY on many roads that usually are inaccessible for cyclists,” says GFNY CEO Uli Fluhme. “Add to that a government with passion for our sport and riders will be up for a special treat.”
As part of race week activities, riders will enjoy the traditional GFNY Group Ride on Saturday, a social and scenic warm-up that brings participants together for a casual spin.

GFNY Bento Gonçalves (Brazil)
GFNY Bento Gonçalves returns with its signature 122.5 km course, featuring a demanding 3,218 meters of climbing. The start and finish lines are located at Fundaparque, in the heart of Rio Grande do Sul’s famous wine country.
“The area around Bento is called the Tuscany of Latin America because of its delicious wine,” says GFNY President Lidia Fluhme. “But for us, it’s the cycling that makes it Tuscany: a challenging race on fun roads.”
Throughout the week, Fundaparque will also host race-related activities, bringing together the local community and GFNY riders. On race day, cyclists will face a challenging and scenic route through rolling hills, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Serra Gaúcha wine region.

The 13th annual Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship New York will be held on May 18, 2025. The race features the world’s most international peloton with riders from over 90 countries. It is so international that it’s often described as the United Nations of cycling. Athletes take on a challenging route to compete against each other, the clock, and themselves in a personal endurance challenge.

Cycling – Pro Racing
At Gran Premio New York City, professional teams race the same course as riders at the Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC – but with a 10-minute head start. The second edition will be held on May 18, 2025.
Adding a women’s pro race would elevate the event further. The proposed format would have women starting 45 minutes ahead of the men’s pro race, giving them their own stage. However, the extended road closures required for this addition increase costs by $100,000.
For those interested in supporting women’s racing, GFNY is inviting companies and organizations to help sponsor this important addition. Contact GFNY to discuss partnership opportunities.
